Finders Keepers and Simply Phoebe

Despite having lots of projects to finish before I leave on holidays, I took myself off to the Finders' Keeper
market
held in the old museum building at Bowen Hills.  I remember fondly taking Liam and Shannon to the old museum on the day it closed..so different to the new museum in South Brisbane.  But it is great to see this beautiful building put to good use as the home of the Queensland Youth Orchestra, amongst other things.

But Saturday and Sunday saw it turned into an extraordinary craft market.  Shannon's friend Phoebe from Simply Phoebe was there with her fabric necklaces.

Needless to say, I couldn't resist buying a piece for someone special who I knows just loves Phoebe's work.

  2. Hi Doreen,
Thanks for the lovely post and big plug! Love the blog. Taken me a little while to get around to checking it out as I have been sewing like a madwoman to get a big order ready for Dogstar. But I have added you to my blog reader so I will be following keenly!

  3. Another place worth visiting (sorry Phoebe, not trying to cut your grass) is "Travels with my Aunt" in Buckland Rd, Nundah; vintage buttons, lace, fabrics, vintage hats, jewellery, stuffed peacock that I want to take home very badly as the best-ever cat toy. PS Shannon, stop being greedy : ) PPS Missing you already Dor, but at least don't have to listen to the lift for a while.... "Door's opening"...
